The Brazilian Court of Audit (TCU) and international cooperation

TCU has cooperation relations with the Supreme Audit Institutions – SAIs of various countries. This cooperation ranges from mere assistance in research activities and other information exchange schemes to organizing training courses and deeper technical exchange arrangements under bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements.

Although there are some bilateral agreements in force between the Court and other SAIs, emphasis has been particularly placed on technical cooperation carried out under multilateral cooperation agreements. Apart from its exchange mechanisms with similar institutions at the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions – INTOSAI – and one of its regional groups, the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions – OLACEFS, the Court is engaged in intense cooperation activities within the Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions of Mercosur Countries, Bolivia and Chile and the Organization of Supreme Control Institutions (SCIs) of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries - CPLP.
